The trainings listed below are the online trainings that are available to providers.
Please follow the instructions before viewing the online trainings.
- Register for an account. You do not need to register if you already have an account. You must provide a valid email address. To complete the registration process, you must check the email account you provide and follow the activation link. Your account will not be enabled untill you do so!
- Print the additional handouts listed that you will need to complete the training.
- Click on the link to the link "Take the training"
- View the online training and participate in the activities and demonstrations.
- Once the training is viewed, click on the "Survey" link and complete the feedback and demographics form.
- Click on the "Quiz" link and complete the quiz—pass with an 80% or higher.
- Once the quiz is completed, click on the "User Panel" link and choose the completion certificate that you would like to print.
- Print out the completion certificate that will display as a PDF file. Print as many copies as you will need for your records.

A Providers Guide to Early Literacy
In this training module you will learn about Early Literacy. This module is designed for child care providers that are interested in taking an in-depth look at early literacy. In addition, there will be ways to incorporate the "30 minutes a day principle" into the child care setting.
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Safe Sleep
In this presentation you will learn about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS. The information applies to everyone who takes care of babies, including parents, childcare providers, babysitters, or grandparents. Specific information is also given for licensed childcare providers in Michigan.
Preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome
In this training module you will learn about Shaken Baby Syndrome or SBS. There is information that applies to everyone who takes care of babies and toddlers such as childcare providers, parents, babysitters or grandparents.
Bloodborne Pathogens
In this training module you will learn about Bloodborne Pathogens. This module is designed for child care providers that are required by DHS Licensing to receive bloodborne pathogens awareness training. This program is for awareness purposes only and cannot be used toward any required regulatory training for Licensed Care, including Centers. To receive proper regulatory training when working in a Center, you must contact your Center's director and take the appropriate training there.
This training module will provide you with the basic concepts of exposure control. It is NOT intended to meet the regulatory requirements for bloodborne pathogens training per the MIOSHA Bloodborne Infectious Diseases standard. If you work in a childcare center, please refer to the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan in your facility for instructions on compliance with training.
